A former Apollo Bay Show ambassador is looking for her fellow Miss Show winenrs in the region to help create an exhibit at this year’s Colac Show.
The 1970 Miss Apollo Bay Show Christine Wilson has put the call out to the south-west’s other Miss Show winners to help celebrate the 60th anniversary of the event’s introduction at rural shows across Victoria.
The Royal Agriculture Society of Victoria decided to mark the 60-year anniversary with an exhibit and celebration at this year’s Royal Melbourne Show.
Ms Wilson decided she would also celebrate by creating an exhibit featuring south-west Victorian Miss Show Girls at Colac’s show on November 3 to 5.
The Sun-News Pictorial Miss Show Girl Competition in Victoria started in 1957 and was open to girls aged between 16 and 25.
