Community lights up and sings for Christmas

Lochie Richardson, 6, Rachael Richardson, 2, and Sophie Richardson, 8, jump on board their winning entry in this year’s Colac Otway Business Inc Christmas Lights Competition. The Beeac family’s 1968 Austin Leyland former fire truck, complete with Santa and festive bears, won the rural category. Winners will receive prizes at tonight’s Colac City Band 68th Carols by Candlelight at Colac’s Memorial Square.

COLAC and district residents and business owners have rolled out metres and boxes of Christmas joy and festive spirit this year.

  1. Thanks very much to all who entered. This is a great example of our community members bringing joy to many others again this Christmas. Special thanks to the Colac Herald for making the competition and tour map possible and for being such a pleasure to work with. Also thanks to sponsors Otway Business Inc. and South West Family Church.
