Thieves steal third vehicle from Colac district family

Thieves stole a utility from Scott Street, Colac, this week.

Police are appealing for information after thieves stole a vehicle from a Colac property overnight on Monday.

Sergeant Wayne Dennehy of Colac police said unknown offenders stole a 1992 model red Holden utility between 10pm Monday and 8am Tuesday.

The utility was at a Scott Street property and has registration plates of EUG 159.

Felicity Richardson, whose family had already been victims to thieves, said it was the “third car stolen from our family in a month”.

She said the vehicle would “most likely” have a smashed window “judging from the glass on the road”.

Thieves stole Felicity’s mother Lynne Richardson’s Holden Commodore wagon from Armstrong Street in February.

Sgt Dennehy said anyone with information can contact Toby Morel at Colac Police Station on 5230 0000 or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
