Colac District Football League officials have revealed the association will send a senior netball team and juniors on this year’s interleague road trip to Horsham.
The association only sent a senior football team during its last long road trip, an eight-hour drive to Murrabit and back in 2015.
CDFL chairman Peter Mulheron said the league had been in discussions with AFL Victoria and Horsham and district league officials this week, with all parties eager to play netball and junior clashes.
The May 13 matches are likely to be at Horsham City Oval, roughly three hours from Colac.
Meanwhile, CDFL’s interleague representatives will wear a new-look strip this season due to a clash with Horsham and District, who also wear green and yellow.
CDFL chairman Peter Mulheron said the league had begun plans for a clash strip, due to the CDFL being the lower-ranked league.
Mr Mulheron said initial suggestions had included a white jumper with a green and gold V.
