Brothers and emerging Alvie cricketers Zac, Kade and Sam Parker shared success in their first top-grade outing together.

Sam joined his two older brothers in the Swans’ premier team for their clash against Colac West, making his senior debut alongside another young gun, Reegan Monaghan.

Alvie was a comfortable victor in the round seven contest, notching up a 105-run win to move be to outright leader of Colac district Division One cricket.

The Swans batted first at Western Oval, posting 8-184 thanks to solid knocks from star batsmen Andre DeLorenzo, 59 runs, and Liam McGuane, 40.

West co-captain Josh Vagg and youngsters Tom O’Farrell and Deakin Carmichael were the pick of the bowlers, claiming two scalps apiece.

The home side struggled in its chase while Zac Parker led the charge with the new ball for the Swans, cheaply picking up openers Vagg and Alex Horne’s wickets.

West, missing experienced top-order duo Dylan Flanigan and Lachie Simpkin, were skittled for 79.

Youngsters Clay Mulgrew, 24 runs, and Tyler Flanigan, 13, failed to capitalise on their impressive starts.

Swans skipper DeLorenzo said he was delighted with his players’ response to their first loss of the season in round five.

“I was very happy, we needed a good performance after a loss last weekend,” he said.

DeLorenzo said having the three Parkers at the club continued the family’s already proud history with the Swans.
