  1. I would like to thank Colac-Otway Shire for the new bins to our town. Not everyone is opposed to them and some of us are actually grateful that ratepayers money is being allocated to Birregurra.

  2. Sarah Handscomb

The Council voted 6 to 1 against the bins because of strong community opposition. Councillors Delahunty and Smith engaged with the community and advocated strongly to protect the historic streetscape. Cr Crook was the only councillor to go against the community’s wishes and showed contempt for the community by voting for the bin enclosures in Main St. Who made the decision to instal the unwanted bins at both Council and community level.
