Traffic light petition ready for parliament

STRONG SUPPORT: Colac campaigner Ruth Spokes, Polwarth MP Richard Riordan and Colac Pharmacy’s Karen Parker hope the State Government will act on a community petition signed by more than 2500 people calling on traffic lights at the intersection of Murray and Armstrong streets.

Colac’s Ruth Spokes has been overwhelmed by community support, with more than 2500 people signing her petition calling for traffic lights at a busy highway intersection.

  1. I don’t drive, and I think that lights, not a roundabout will be the best for everyone who walks around town. Well done to Richard Riordan and Ruth Spokes for their commitment to safety.

    Got love Liberal politicians, always seem to go into bat for their community when in Opposition but do very little when government.

  3. Why not put a roundabout in there instead? There are too many sets of lights in the main street and a properly designed roundabout would be much quicker not like others large ones you see with plants growing in the middle
