BRUTAL ROBBERY: Masked robbers terrorise German tourists

POLICE are appealing for information after two masked offenders terrorised and robbed three German backpackers at Lorne.

Torquay Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the robbery of three men aged in their 20s.

The men were sitting in their car at Teddy’s Lookout on Saturday when a male and a female approached them about 4am.

Police believe the man was wearing a black balaclava and was armed with a baseball bat and the woman was wearing a pink balaclava when they approached the vehicle and started smashing the windows.

The offenders then fled the scene but returned and demanded the victims hand over their belongings.

Lorne_3The men ran away and the bandits took their luggage which was later found burnt on the side of the road.

The offenders were driving a dark coloured Ford Territory with stolen plates ZVK 678.
