  1. Reality Check

So what were Cr Delahuntys concerns? Surely our councilors and or council officers can tell us what disagreements are so bad that our councilors are behaving in such a way. It does no side to the argument any justice with such little content able to be reported! Let’s Open up council debate!

Cr Delahunty did not storm out but walked out after making his point in a deliberate and measured manner. Good to see a (nother) councillor standing by his principles.

  3. I went to the meeting hoping to raise some concerns about the cycling paths, funding, and importantly trying to get council to consider widening the Lake Colac foreshore paths whilst they put in the proposed new garden bed edging (development is starting in a week or two’s time).
Although I found most of council staff friendly and courteous, the overall feeling was one of an adversarial nature bordering on antagonistic. I excused myself and left at the end of question time, feeling rather sorry for everyone including the community.
