Roundabout finished at busy intersection

Contractors competed work on a new roundabout at the intersection of Colac’s Church and Wallace streets last week.

A Colac resident says more safety measures are required at a dangerous Colac intersection after contractors completed work on a new roundabout.

  1. The real scandal here is the cost. Why does a roundabout have to cost almost $1 million?! In Britain, roundabouts in suburban streets consist of a painted circle and a set of street signs, and cost next to nothing.

    1. but those roundabouts dont mean having to dig up half the road and also dont interfere with major infrastructure like gas, water, power, sewage and phone lines.

    I am shocked that a round-about is completed in world record time, by co-incidence during an election campaign and Polworths very own Transport Minister did not pull the scissors from his back pocket and Rally a group of notables and pleased residents for a group photograph and ribbon cutting. This either means he is already waving the white flag or party polling suggests his seat is safe or both.
