A COLAC district Black Saturday class action will go to trial against a power distributor after an attempt to resolve the dispute failed.
Maddens Lawyers, representing victims of the 2009 Pomborneit-Weerite bushfire, failed to agree on a settlement during a mediation session with Powercor.
The class action will go to the Supreme Court at Warrnambool on September 3 in front of Justice Jack Forrest, who also presided over Horsham and Kilmore bushfire cases.
The Pomborneit bushfire on February 7, 2009, burnt pastures, buildings and animals but claimed no lives.
