Property officer Gary Mewha is pictured with the stolen or lost property that Colac police are holding at the station.
POLICE are looking for the owners of stolen tools seized in a raid on a Colac house.
Detective Chris Potter of Colac Criminal Investigation Unit said police had “a lot of tools” including spanners, socket sets, electric grinders, saws, drills and a laser level.
Police seized the tools, which they believed were stolen from the Colac area, from a Murray Street house late last month in a raid which also uncovered amphetamines.
Police arrested and charged a Colac man, 30, with having handled stolen goods as well as having trafficked and possessed a drug of dependence.
Detective Potter said people could view the goods at Colac police station during business hours or contact the station’s property officer Gary Mewha.
“We certainly encourage people that have been the victims of crime to come and have a look,” Det Potter said.
