Tigers netballers at full strength

Key Colac Tiger Shelley Scott is fit and firing.

COLAC Tigers netball coach Rebecca Finn says the Tigers will boast a full-strength line-up against Bell Park in Geelong League netball this weekend.

Tigers star Shelley Scott suffered an ankle injury during the Tigers’ loss to Bell Park in round three.

But last season’s GFL netball best-and-fairest will be at full fitness when the Tigers take on the Dragons at Colac’s Central Reserve.

Tigers coach Rebecca Finn said the team had learned from the ten-goal loss to Bell Park.

“We had a really good game against them in round two and we were up by two at half time but suffered from that third quarter fade out,” she said.

“Shelley rolled her ankle in that game which forced a bit of a reshuffle.

“Hopefully we will go in to this one a lot more settled because we know what we are up against.”

Bell Park suffered a 20-goal loss to St Albans last week and sit fourth on the ladder with seven wins and three losses.

The Tigers come off a 21-goal win against North Shore and remain one win outside the top five.

Finn said the Tigers had the line-up to beat teams around them on the ladder.

“Those top three are quite a pace out in front,” she said.

“But there are games where we are in the mix and you do want to win those games and you go in with a certain amount of confidence and expectation to win.

“The girls are more than capable and their skill level is terrific; it’s just a matter of fine tuning game plans and sticking to those plans that we set.”
