District golfer fourth in Scottish open

Colac district golfer Stacey Keating.

FORMER Cressy golfer Stacey Keating has enjoyed her biggest pay day as a professional golfer on the Ladies’ European Tour.

Keating shot a three-round score of two-under-par 214 to finish fourth in the Ladies’ Scottish Open, earning her a 9550-euro cheque – about $12,250.

The 26-year-old was one-over-par through two rounds but surged up the leaderboard with five birdies and two bogeys on the final day.

The impressive e performance comes on the back of solid performances in the World Ladies’ Championships in China and the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco last month.

The Ladies’ Scottish Open was the sixth event on the LET. Keating will contest the Ladies’ Turkish Open this weekend and the Ladies’ German Open a fortnight later.
