PARAMEDICS took two people to hospital after a head-on collision near Lorne.

Leading Senior Constable Gary Middleton of Lorne police said the driver of one car and the passenger of the other car went to Lorne Community Hospital with minor injuries.

He said the crash happened on the Great Ocean Road north-east of Lorne about midday yesterday.

“It was raining at the time and a woman lost control going around a left-hand bend and the car struck another car head-on,” Sen Const Middleton said.

“The woman went to Lorne Hospital and the passenger of the other car went as well, but it was just for check-ups – luckily there were no serious injuries.”
