UPDATE: Police have found a Colac woman after her family reported her missing.

Colac police said 54-year-old Elizabeth Maloney was safe and had contacted her family.

Police appealed for public assistance to help find the Colac woman yesterday.

Relatives said they had last seen her on the morning of April 3.

Police believe she stayed at the Winchelsea BP Motel between April 3 and April 8.

Detective Sergeant Peter Griffiths of Colac Criminal Investigation Unit said public information had helped with their search.

“Several witnesses contacted police with information which we are very grateful for,” Det Griffiths said.

He said Ms Maloney had called her family last night and would reunite with them today.

Ms Maloney’s family had told police she had a medical condition which required medication.
