YOUNG Zarah Driscoll’s growing passion for horses has earned her a top Victorian prize.
The three-year-old Elliminyt youngster was part of a successful team which claimed a leading rein pony class at the Barastoc Horse Show at Werribee.
Zarah teamed up with her mum Courtney Driscoll to win the Leading Rein Pony with a three-to-five-year-old rider class, with pony Levens Just Heavenly, out of a class of 17.
The horse belongs to the family’s close friends Janine, Anna and Carla Box.
“She’s really getting into the horses. That’s Australia-wide who she competed against at Barastoc,” Mrs Driscoll said.
“She’s been riding for about 12 months. It’s a family passion – I’ve always shown horses and train and drive harness racing horses,” she said.
“She’s right into the riding, she has a general love of horses.”
