MORE than 1000 people from Colac district and beyond converged on a Birregurra farm for a clearing sale.
Birregurra’s historic Turkeith Station’s owners Lachie and Janet Gordon had the clearing sale of farming equipment, machinery, and antique collectibles after they sold the 2393-hectare farm last year.
Turkeith had been in Mrs Gordon’s family for more than 100 years.
Auction items at Friday’s sale included windmills, farm bikes, garden equipment, farm tools, furniture, saddles, a tractor, a Furphy farm water cart and a wool press.
