A COLAC man has won $100,000 from a $4 scratchie ticket.
Reynolds’ IGA owner John Reynolds said the Colac man, aged in his 40s, wanted to remain anonymous.
“He said he wanted to have a quiet word,” he said.
“So we went into the office and then he told me, he said ‘you know how I buy these scratchie tickets’ and I said ‘yes’ and he said ‘I won $100,000 on a $4 one’.
“I put my hands on his shoulders and said put it to good use.”
Mr Reynolds said the man planned to pay his house and buy a car with the money.
The win on the $4 Intralot scratchie ticket is the first major win for the newsagency.
“We’ve had the small ones but this is the first major,” Mr Reynolds said.
“Most people don’t believe that you win anything, but this is proof that there is one in there, somewhere along the lines there is one in there.”
