STONYFORD’S Jarahkai Turley-Kercheval is Colac district’s first baby of the new year, born at Colac Hospital.

Mum Kristen Turley said Jarahkai was two weeks overdue.

“We had planned to have a homebirth, but because he was so overdue we had to come to hospital,” she said.

He is a brother to nine-year-old Indi Turley-Kercheval.
